My name is Miguel Suarez del Villar, and I’m the founder of Alameda Vintage Decor. This journey began in February 2014 in my hometown in Cuba, where I opened my first shop, Alameda Antiques, on Alameda Street — the inspiration behind our name. What started as a small store specializing in antiques and used books has since grown into the brand we are today.
After relocating to Florida, the business grew into what is now Alameda Vintage Decor—a curated destination for vintage-inspired home décor. Our specialty is wall art, including original paintings, photography, posters, prints, art cards, and, more recently, contemporary artwork for those seeking standout, one-of-a-kind pieces for their spaces.
We’ve also added handmade crochet apparel, a beloved tradition in my family. With crochet making a stylish comeback, it pairs perfectly with our retro and vintage aesthetic.
My lifelong passion for discovering “hidden treasures,” paired with my background in art and love for vintage travel posters, laid the foundation for this next chapter in Downtown St. Pete—arriving at just the right moment, as more people rediscover the charm and character of vintage style.
